Collapsible Wheelbarrow FAQ
Straight answers, first sentence first. If yours isn't here, ask us — we answer our own email.
Is there a collapsible wheelbarrow that isn't made of cloth?
Yes — The Workin' Collapsible Wheelbarrow by Rockin' J Innovations is a rigid, full-size wheelbarrow with solid poly panels and a steel frame that collapses flat. We're not aware of another rigid one; the alternatives are cloth wheelbarrows and folding wagons.
How thick is it when it's folded?
Under 10 inches. The panels stack on the base, a strap secures the stack, and the wheels mount on storage rods, so the collapsed unit lies flat or stands against a wall.
How much weight can it carry?
250 pounds. The rigid poly panels and steel frame carry full loads of mulch, wet bedding, feed or debris — the loads that make cloth folding wheelbarrows sag.
How long does it take to collapse or set up?
Minutes each way, with no tools. Pull-ring rods release the tub sides and base, the panels stack and strap, and the wheels move to storage rods with cotter pins. Reverse the steps to rebuild it.
What is it made of?
Solid washable poly panels on a steel frame, with dual pneumatic wheels and wood-grip handles. It weighs just under 60 pounds assembled.
How do you clean it?
Hose it off. The solid poly panels are washable and non-absorbent, so bedding, manure and soil rinse away completely — unlike cloth folding wheelbarrows, which hold moisture and odor.
How much does the wheelbarrow itself weigh?
Just under 60 pounds, so one person can carry the collapsed stack, load it into a truck bed, or lean it against a garage wall.
What warranty does it come with?
A Limited 90-Day Warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The full terms are on our Returns & Warranty page.
When will it be available?
General availability is February. The waitlist is open now on the product page, and joining it puts you first in line when ordering opens.
